Tasting Notes

Chateau Kefraya Comtesse de M has is brilliant yellow, with golden highlights. The first bouquet is very expressive. Complex and subtle, it displays intense notes of toast, cloves, gingerbread and fresh fruits. The complexity reveals exotic notes followed by notes apricot, honey and lime. The second bouquet benefits from the aeration and reveals intense notes of fudge associated with slightly mineral notes. The wood is in perfect harmony with the wine, while nose is powerful, complex, fine and delicate. On the palate The first impression is round and full-bodied. The wine is strong, fresh and balanced on the palate. We find the aromas from the nose marked by woody and toasted notes, coconut and honey, in harmony with the fruity and mineral notes of the wine. The finish is powerful and sustained. All Kefraya Wines are Vegan

Behind the Label: Kefraya

Located in the West Bekaa Valley, the large estate of Château Kefraya has been the Bustros family’s property for generations. The castle is built starting 1946 on an artificial hill used by the Romans centuries ago to observe their troop movements.
Founder and visionary Michel de Bustros undertakes massive works to implant Château Kefraya’s vineyards on those magnificent hillsides. The first vines are planted in 1951 and in 1979 - despite the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990) - Château Kefraya starts producing its own wine with its own grapes grown in its own vineyard and vinified in its own cellar.
