Second wine of the fabulous L'IF, the Saint-Émilion estate of Jacques Thienpont (owner of Le Pin). Intense aromas of dark fruit and oak barrels, with a hint of savory earth and old iron. The palate is full of rich blackberry and black cherry fruit, violets, and ripe tannin, dusty and long. A superb wine, all the more impressive given the challenges of the vintage.
